Aion is going free to play. That is, NCsoft is no longer going to be in control over AionEU, instead they're transferring Aion to another publisher, Gameforge. This post is mainly on what you should do and know about Aion when it goes F2P.



[-] Go to your NCsoft Master Account and make sure you have the "Opted in" box checked. This allows NCsoft to transfer all your data to Gameforge.

Step 1:
Visit http://www.ncsoft.com and log in to your Play NC master account.



Step 2:
You are now logged in your account management. Follow the navigation on the right side of the window to get to the transfer menu.



Step 3:
Directly below your personal data, you will see your account. Checkmark your “Opt In Status” to agree to the transfer. Click on “Confirm”.
Done – you have successfully flagged your account for migration!





[-] You cannot use old item codes after the changeover. So if you still have some, from Aion Magazine for example, you should use them before the migration


[-] There are 3 type of accounts. Starter, Veteran and Gold User. If you had subscription before the migration or joined the Closed Beta and got your character to atleast level 10 you'll have a Veteran Status for free. The differences are stated below

Missing all of you; I don´t play any game atm (#spanishrevolution and outraged movement keep me very busy, hehe) but I really miss our old times in EQ.
Is already possible to transfer chars from FV to another servers? I would pay a visit to AB if it is, but I dont want to pay a new subcription for FV, I think it is dead unfortunatelly.

So far to go. Just having fun with Aelros company. Not playing alot really. After it became free to play it got appealing to me, but am looking around for a house and such, so when I find one I'll probably be even less online renovating and such.

I would love to find a new home for FN, but I'm sure we'll find a new world sometime in the future

With the 2.5 patch, the game is somewhat better in some areas and worse in others. If you have any questions, i can explain further.

Hope we can resurect FN in another MMO. Til then, have fun everyone.
